It is the first to feature new drummer Alex Bent (Brain Drill, Dragonlord), and also marks the return of vocalist Matt Heafy's harsh vocals which were notably absent on band's previous album. The album was recorded, produced and mixed by John Wilbur at Hybrid Studios in California, US.
