Album
"The Science of Things" is the third studio album by British band Bush, released on 26 October 1999 through Trauma Records. It was the final Bush album issued on that label. The album reached number eleven on the US Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by both the Recording Industry Association of America and Music Canada. It is the second-to-last Bush studio album to feature guitarist Nigel Pulsford and bassist Dave Parsons. "The Science of Things" incorporated electronic elements into the band’s hard rock sound, most prominently on the lead single "The Chemicals Between Us", released on 14 September 1999 ahead of the album. Loosely informed by science fiction imagery, the album’s lyrical themes address topics including the 1980 murder of Dorothy Stratten, the election of Tony Blair in the United Kingdom, and environmental damage.
