'The Romantic' sees Mosley expand his garage orchestra sound with a full band line up and a 'shed load of tuned percussion' into his most cohesive and accessible collection yet. The rip roar of 'Wasn't I the heartbreaker' and 'The Devil and Saint Valentine' add a new Spaghetti western guitar sound to the already colourful palette while that xylophone is all over more spooky, typically Mosley-esque story songs 'Ghost Ships' and 'Please don't turn away form me now'. The single 'I won't kiss you' is a bitter folky-pop duet with ex-Moses singer Sophie Bradley and the 'Muppets do electrofolk' of 'Electric Superman' features Plakkas BK13.
