Released: May 2008 Tumido is a duo consisting of a drummer and a bass-player hailing from Linz, Austria. Bernhard Breuer and Gigi Gratt have been working together as musicians for several years now. „The Orgy“ is their fourth release already, but their first on Trost Records. Tumido caught our attention at their joint improvisational concerts together with avantgarde-rock band Bulbul. Tumido are sticking to their musical concept, which they consistently develop further. That concept includes a totally uinique sound and blanks out most of the common structual boundaries. This time the duo puts out an almost completely instrumental and very powerful new album. The musicians include everything in their music that reminds them of the sensation of the moment. Noiserock meets industrial. Progressive rhythms meet rather melancholy parts. At times the breathtaking tracks are slowed down by some lo-fi electronical effects. But Tumido stay away from over-the-top producing and rather experiment with minimalistic sounds.
