Big Of Me, to my best recollection, didn’t belong anywhere until it got here. Goodbye and Be Well were part of the Rob & Pete live repertoire, and Be Well in a different (more sober) form made it on to it’s own album. Hotel Last Resort was the result of my last sessions working with Pete - he wrote it and played bass. Desire is another orphan, it was written to see if I could write it and this is the first time it has seen the light of day. Hollow fell off the end of the Bad Burn session by taking too long to finish, it still isn't really finished. Goodbye (acoustic mix) and Goodbye (string mix) are examples of how you can put too much in a song now, with multitrack recording, and it sometimes works with bits stripped out again. World Attack is another of Pete's songs, it was revamped and adopted by HowManyDevils, and was recorded again here after HMD split. It is the fourth version I know of. Tortured Soul was a lyricless tune I'd had for 10 years called The Moon which became a song when Pete provided words. Pete sings backing and plays bass on World Attack and Tortured Soul. 20010112 - The Missing, is missing a lot - maybe it will become whole.
