Album
The Incurable Want was released in 2007 and was produced by Kelly Upshaw. The album was recorded in a bedroom in Denton, Texas and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Brooklyn, New York. The album was mixed at The Panhandle House by Erik Herbst. The album represents the collaboration of musicians from several different groups, including members of Midlake, Bosque Brown, Doug Burr's band venture - The Lonelies, and Lift to Experience. The album blurs the line between indie rock and americana. The album also represented closure to the work that the Upshaws, and bassist Andy Odom began with their stints in The Lonelies. Since the record was made, the lineup in the band has settled and the more rock and roll elements have come to the fore. This more rock sound is represented in the album "Light Can't Escape" to be released in Summer of 2010.
