The Guittard Tapes is a place to listen to materials that have been recorded within the past ten years or so that have not been released until now. The songs are taken from tapes that had been in many boxes in storage. Most of the songs were recorded in Dallas, Texas, Gunnison, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California during 1993-2003 and at the time of the California Daze album. There is a demo of early Beach here and other demos as well before the songs were completed as part of California Daze.. The songs are raw and lo-fi and recorded on a 4-track Tascam tape machine.
