This EP is the second to be released in The Shanklin Freak Show's two year quest to release a record every three months. It was released on 4th May 2011. 'The Fall' was originally written and recorded as a solo record by the bands singer 'Mr. Strange' in 2007, depicting a journey into the mind of someone who has lost all hope and is falling into despair, anger and insanity. This release is a revamped version of that record, featuring an extra track with Horrorcore rapper 'Rellik 781' and numerous changes to the song arrangements, refined mixes and improved production values. This EP also marks a drastic change in sound and style for the band, taking on a much darker and more electronic-industrial tone. Vocals tend to be shouted and / or rapped rather than sung, and the lyrical themes are far more introspective than in pervious releases. The band have stressed that this change in musical style is not perminant and have no plans to make a similar sounding record in the future.
