June 2004 ARTIST: The Everyothers TITLE: Self Titled RECORD LABEL: Hautlab REVIEW BY: Michael Delgado It’s hard to give an opinion, lush with description, when the best word to describe the material being reviewed is ‘unremarkable’. By definition of the word, how can you come up with any remarks about something that is so ‘un’? The Everyother’s self-titled debut album comes with the lyrics to all the songs. It also has twelve tracks, which is a nice helping of music. Those are some accurate remarks that can be made about the quartet’s forty minutes of music, but really there’s not much more to say. The entire cd can play through and you’ll only have a distant thought in the back of your mind that something modern is playing. If you tune in long enough, the bar band sound just starts to grate on you. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
