With minimum production and maximum mood, Siegal delivers 12 powerful songs that reflect his personal taste in blues and rootsy Americana. Pedal-steel guitarist BJ Cole (Beck, Bjork, REM, Sting) makes an appearance on two tracks (Between The Stirrup and the Ground, and I'll Fly Away) while Siegal's singer-songwriter and photographer friend, Sam Hare, contributes two songs and adds guitar and second vocals to three tracks. The live tracks, including Siegal's perennial crowd-pleaser Mary Don't You Weep, were recorded at High Barn in Great Bardfield and The Running Horse in Nottingham.
