The Cure is ohsxnta’s sophomore album, following up February 2023's war and being the latest release since his July 2023 EP, the world ends with you. On June 13, 2024, the track “change” was previewed via ohsxnta’s Instagram page, featured as the eleventh track in the description. This is also where the title of the album was revealed—after the infamous English rock band The Cure. On June 23, 2024, ohsxnta would preview the second track, “Turks,” via his social medias. This would be further followed up with him revealing a portion of the cover via his Instagram Story. This was further followed up with a post on his alternate account four days later, where the caption simply said “i’m ready”. On July 7, 2024, the official release date was shared with the single “Friday I'm in Love” by the aforementioned band, landing the project on July 12, 2024.
