Eric Burt - The Business is an album that was written for the 2008 RPM Challenge. The RPM challenge is a challenge put out to musicians to write, and record an entire album during the month of February (Record production month) The guidelines are that you can not begin before February 1st, and must have the album postmarked and in the mail no later than noon on March 1st. The album must also be either 35 minutes in length or 10 tracks in length. "The Business" (referring to a way of delivering an attitude, in other words giving someone the business) is Eric Burt's first set of original work recorded since his old band "Spicket" broke up in early 2001. It is also his first ever solo project. Eric Burt played every instrument on the album, and sang every vocal. Eric Burt has also played in the Buffalo area bands, Rushin' Roulette (A Rush tribute band) and Burt McNasty (90's rock cover band). He is currently working on his next project with musicians Chris Olivieri and Joe Kocienski and hopes to have it released by March of 2009.
