The Accentrix is a female fronted band with a unique sound. The band's original music combines elements of rock, jazz, blues, folk, and funk to create a very diverse sound. The band's debut album was released in August '08 and they have taken the diverse approach in creating their first LP. The CD contains songs ranging from a 70's funk inspired track 1 "Waste of Time", to a more modern rock sound in track 6 "The Real You". Other sounds include: track 7 "Tempt Me" a jazzy groove rock feel; track 5 "In This World" a classicaly influenced ballad with classical guitar, bowed string bass, and piano; track 4 "All In My Mind" takes a 70's analog approach to rock; both track 10 "Someone" and track 9 "The Path" an 80's metal influenced rock tracks with unique and technical lead guitar solos; tracks 3 "Little Did I Know" and 7 "Friends?" are folk/acoustic rock tunes; track 11 "The Missing Piece" is an adult contemporary/pop track; and track 2 "One Day" is a jazzy groove rock tune with the acoustic version concluding the album at track 12 "One Day (acoustic version) User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
