Cole Powell is a singer/songwriter/musician from Jayess, Mississippi, USA. In early 2011, singer/song-writer/musician Cole Powell began production on his first commercial release with producer/engineer/musician Nick Smith of Mississippi-based band The Colonels and a stellar group of professional backing musicians including Marvin Curtis III (The Colonels),Tyler Bridge (Crossing Over; Grady Whalens), and Greg Stewart (international-selling duo Eclectik Soul). After several months of production, Powell emerged from the studio triumphantly with Thanks For The Broken Heart. The project was released internationally on October 11, 2011, on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and many other digital and physical retailers and has since garnered international critical recognition with positive coverage coming from U.S.-based IMR Magazine, Canada's Music Emissions, and the U.K.'s Indie Music Magazine. In 2012 & 2013, Powell toured with a full band as Cole Powell & The Revivals, playing several high-profile shows around Mississippi including Atwood Music Festival and The Castorena Show. Members of the band: Joseph Bagwell (lead guitar), Corey Schilling (keys), Kyle Mahaffey (bass). Drum duties have been executed by Jared Griffith, Taylor Watson, & Zack Farnham. As of February 2014, production is underway on Powell's sophomore album entitled UNFILTERED: MUSICAL RAMBLINGS OF A MAD MAN and slated for a Summer 2014 release.
