Textures Beneath the Green was released on last.fm in 2008. It is a compilation of tracks that were recorded from 2002 through 2008. The main theme of the compilation is studies in different genres and experimental sound textures in digital and analog realms. Most tracks on this compilation were leftovers from Darius' two previous releases. Beneath the green was originally going to be the title track to the previous release "Made in the Shade" But mistakes in post production corrupted the digital file after the original was lost causing a noticable dropout right in the begining of the track. But it's imperfection seemed to make it the perfect title track for Textures. The only tracks recorded specifically for a 2008 relase were "Weavers Flight" and "Paper & Bass". The live tracks were added to this compilation because they were the only recorded versions of the songs at the time of release. Studio versions of the live selections should be on the next album.
