Album
Tenor Conclave is an album associated with the names of four saxophonists: John Coltrane, Hank Mobley, Al Cohn, and Zoot Sims. It was recorded in 1956 and released in early 1957 by Prestige Records as PRLP 7074. With Coltrane's growing popularity, it was later reissued with new cover art that emphasized the name of the main star. Similar to Coltrane's albums Stardust and Soultrane, the rhythm section here features Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Art Taylor.
