Album
Temple of Shadows is the fifth studio album by the Brazilian power metal band Angra, released in 2004. Like the albums Holy Land (1996) and Rebirth (2001) by the same band, it is a concept album, as it tells the fictional story of a knight known as "The Shadow Hunter," who joins the army summoned by the Pope to take part in the First Crusade (1096β1099). Throughout his journey, he faces conflicts that make him question the holy war he is involved in and the ideals of the Catholic Church, putting his devotion to the test. It was released by Paradoxx Music in Brazil and SPV label Steamhammer in the rest of the world. SPV also released a limited edition containing a bonus DVD with the complete video material of the concert that was previously released on their album Rebirth World Tour β Live in SΓ£o Paulo. The record was classified as the 21st best power metal album of all time by the metal magazine Loudwire.
