I can't really remember how Tech alot came about, what was happening in my head at the time or exactly what the original intent of the track was supposed to be. The track evolved and changed a great deal whilst I was making it. I didn't go out of my way to make something which sounds so wonky, sometimes when I make tracks they end up in a very different place from where I start. I always tend to start with the beats and bassline on any track and then expand from there, quite often I'll stumble across a sound or a sample that will fit but totally changes the sound and feel of the track I'm working on. To me Tech alot sound like a computer game with each part of the track like a different level but that wasn't my intention. Tech a lot was definitely a happy accident there's no way I could have sat down and played the wonky melody if I tried. I was just messing around programing in random keys and it just grew and mutated from some random mouse clicks. I had the track nearly finished before I played to anyone as I was pretty sure that I had something good but I wasn't sure if people would like get it or not. Working by yourself is good but sometimes you don't know if what you've made is complete nonsense or not, especially if you sit with a track for a long time, which I definitely did with Tech alot. I was constantly tweaking and editing little bits of the track. I have a good group of mates who are honest when I play them tracks I'm working on, so I can rely on them for feedba
