Album
The first LP is called Tapes on Pause, and, for the most part, it's stylistically different instrumental tracks, full of drugged-up keyboards, funky basslines, and background texturing over big beats. "In The Details" and "Saturday Night, Clouds Turn Grey" keep it nice and danceable without ever trending into dance music. There are moments of ambience, too, like "A Forest in the Desert". In and amongst the other tracks are some odd sound experiments, like the sonic manipulation "Things As They Are," or the bass swell and dissolution that makes up the backbone of "Things As They Seem." It even gets a bit Latin on "My Hometown, As Seen from an Airplane Window." It's all over the place, but it has a coherent sound that a fan of headphone music would appreciate, even though this is designed to be turned up, and turned up loud.
