After releasing a single for every month, 6 months straight, Gowland announced on her Instagram and Twitter account on June 15 that she would be moving on from working as a producer for Youtuber and Twitch streamer, Alpharad. Following this she slowed down on her monthly trend, to focus on her production career. Two months later, Gowland announced her new single, 10 days prior to its release, on September 19. Take a Break is the 7th single of her 2023 releases, and is musically a beautiful and unique addition to her already wide ranged discography. It is also her first work to be copyrighted under "shweet dee records", found in the spotify page for the single. As of September 29, there is little information to be found about the label.
