SUCKERPUNCH is the debut studio album by Maggie Lindemann, released on September 16, 2022 via swixxzaudio. After the global success of her pop breakout "Pretty Girl", Lindemann rejected the "bubblegum" image her former label pushed and left to gain creative control and ownership of her masters. She describes the album title as reflecting a series of unexpected emotional blows, a response to the mental and emotional toll of her previous label experience. Musically, SUCKERPUNCH leans into pop-punk and rock and roll, with critics noting tonal similarities to work by Lilith Czar and Demi Lovato. The record explores themes of loss, love, anger, jealousy and pride, and was preceded by singles such as "she knows it", "how could you do this to me?", "break me!", "you're not special", "self sabotage" and "cages".
