"Stranded" is the second release from the Pennsylvania based Celtic quintet, Blackwater. Orignally released in 2001 and re-released in September 2007, "Stranded" is another well balanced representation of the diversity, originality and talent that are the hallmark of this popular touring group. The album showcases the songwriting and composition skills of its members with a number of original songs including the sea faring ballad "Fair Jeanie" which recounts the tale of the famous famine ship "The Jeanie Johnston". The bands mix of strong vocal talent and impressive instrumental skills are showcased nicely on this enjoyable and energetic album.
