American singer-songwriter Crystal Waters' second studio album, Storyteller, was issued by Mercury Records on May 17, 1994. The album reached the top of the US Billboard 200 at number 199, the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list at number 73, and the Top Heatseekers chart at number 8. "What I Need," "Relax," "Ghetto Day," and the blockbuster song "100% Pure Love" were the four singles that were released from the album. A sample of "Ghetto Day" is taken from the 1968 hit song "Stoned Soul Picnic" by The 5th Dimension. Storyteller was certified gold in the US and sold one million copies.
