"Still" is the second album by the band Nouns. It was recorded from April 10th, 2013 to February 19th and released on the same day. It is an autobiographical album, telling the story of Hunter β the band's vocalist/guitarist β experiences in childhood and teenagerhood, dealing with bipolar disorder and depression. After a suicide attempt in February 2012, he was committed to therapy. The lyrics for the songs were found in his notebook and he didn't remember writing them. He later attributed them to different personas of his that had come about because of his bipolar disorder. Olivia: Described as "what Hunter wants to be, the embodiment of positivity, optimistic, everything he isnβt". ("fourteen" and "little slugger") Oliver: The songs are his fantasies and obsessions he had throughout high school, things that never happened. ("closer" and "daydream") Jackson: "Is the cynical, suicidal, depressed, immature, and very angry with the world." ("soccer ball" and "wreck") J.D: He's Jackson's counterpart, an old version of him. He received this name because Hunter's parents wanted to name him Jackson Dorian. He is described as a mature version of Jackson, with no desire to live and adamant about that. ("I feel as though I've failed", "fox wound", "ghost legs", "ski mask" and "I still want to make you proud") The last song, "but I can't stay here", is the only one not attributed to any persona but to Hunter himself.
