Gregory Darling’s album “Stew Americano” is to be released March 15th 2010 through FOD Records, preceded by the single “Kiss The Pain”. The single was premiered on BBC Radio’s 2’s Wogan show and had great support elsewhere including Jonathan Ross’ radio show. Featuring a selection of great tracks in the classic Pop Rock vein, the “Stew Americano” album showcases Darling’s soulful, measured lyrics over melodic piano and strings. “Stew Americano” is a potent blend of virtuosity and passion, with an emphasis on proper songwriting. The album boasts a host of great musicians, including Portishead’s Clive Deamer, Joe Puerta the bassist from Alan Parsons Project and guitarist Dani Robinson from Darling’s first band, cult favourites Darling Cruel. Recorded at the historic Wisseloord Studios in Amsterdam (Elton John, Mick Jagger, U2 etc) this is a superb collection from an artist truly hitting his stride. “Stew Americano” is Darling’s second solo release and his debut album “Shell” has enjoyed great sales and airplay success in Europe (Top 10 in Italy and Germany with a release in the States slated for January 2010).
