Album
released 2007 by Endgame Records. Natural sound/field-recordings made into soundscapes by Social Interiors, the pioneers of these genres. Comprises four long pieces; three tracks by each member individually, and the group piece 'Spatial Circumference'. Rik Rue's 'Things Change, Things Remain the Same' was mainly recorded in outback western NSW. Julian Knowles' 'Silent Latitudes' was based on a long-wire installation by Alan Lamb in Baldivis, WA; and sound sources for Shane Fahey's 'Mound of Mounds' came from West Head in Ku-Ring-Gai National Park, NSW. 'Spatial Circumference' was recorded in coastal and rainforest regions of the south coast (eg. Jamberoo, Durras). Due to analog recording and mixing methods and studio production techniques of the calibre given to contemporary pop/rock albums, the pieces have a depth and complexity outstanding in this genre.
