‘Songs about leaving’ is the third and final album released by Arizona rock/slowcore band Carissa’s wierd before their disbandment in November of 2003. It was released on August 6th, 2002 and rereleased in 2010 with ‘Hardly Art’ It features Mat Brooke as the primary vocalist however Jenn Champion supports with backing vocals and has notable main vocals on songs “So You Wanna Be a Superhero” and “Sofisticated Fuck Princesses Please Leave Me Alone” Songs about leaving stays true to its name with almost every track about a failed relationship, leaving a family or implied suicide and many consider it to be the peak of Carissa Wierd’s gloom found throughout their discography.
