Album
Lenny Deneb's CD "Solidarity" offers a very strong reggae vibe and the grooves on this album are guaranteed to satisfy. Deneb brings a smooth and pleasant vocal style to the table with this album, and I was sold right away by his performance on track 2, "Families At War," which speaks to life, family, and modern times. This jam is right on point in so many ways. The music is perfect along with the female background singers who complement Deneb to a tee. This was actually my favorite on the CD because of the message, the beat, and the singer's delivery. The band is skilled at producing different musical compilations and setting the mood for the tracks on this album. Their play from the first song to the last was excellent. Singing in a passionate, yet soft and cool style with ancient Rastafarian flavor, Deneb really delivers on the very next track, "How Can This Be Justified?" This particular song reminded me of the beginnings of reggae music and I'm sure the ancestors are happy with this work. He is a very gifted artist and the passion of his music comes through smoothly and solidly in the lyrics. Truthful messages are woven with precision into every verse. It would be a wonderful thing if all could hear him. Naming this CD "Solidarity" was most certainly a good decision because that is what this wise artist is conveying with his beautiful songs. He and his band are real roots music makers for sure. I was very moved by his lyrics, which are thought provoking and real. Thi
