Solemn Camel 3000 is Solemn Camel Crew's first studio album recorded at the Swan Yard Studio under the Electric Wax music label in 2008. Solemn Camel Crew are an 8 bit orientated electro band consisting of 2 members: James Randall & Jonathan Brammer. Features strong influences from pop culture 80's and early 90's video games and epic movie scores. Most tracks feature classic saw and sine wave sounds, 8 bit analog chip emulators and sounds from a Commodore 64 computer console. Running themes in Solemn Camel Crew music are love, happiness, fundamental science (especially physics related) and their fictional character Tony Bear, whose major scale theme has featured on every album in one form or another. “Probably an acquired taste but the appeal comes from some nice little musical melodies and some killer musical hooks.
