"Smiling Men with Bad Reputations" is the 1971 debut solo album by Scottish musician Mike Heron (of The Incredible String Band). Guest musicians on the album include John Cale, Richard Thompson, Steve Winwood, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, and Ronnie Lane. The 1991 re-issue features two bonus tracks, with Jimmy Page guesting on "Lady Wonder" and Elton John on "Make No Mistake". The album was remastered and reissued in 2004.
