Album
Released on July 22 Sky Eats Airplane's first full length album since evolving from a duo to a full band, is sure to influence the sounds of the new wave. Blending electronic sounds and drum loops with an intricate showcase of musicianship brought by all members is a step up from their prior independent release of "Everything Perfect on the Wrong Day". For those who don't know Sky Eats Airplane (SEA) was originally a two man band (well three if you count the Mac Notebook) from Fort Worth,Texas. Consisting of Brack Cantrell on vocals and Lee Duck on guitar the duo took the local music scene by storm. Bringing in a packed house where ever the band went they started a steady fan base along with a huge Myspace following. After about 2 years of playing shows the band split because of Braxton's need to pursue softer music,he went on to join PlayRadioPlay! and then form his on project Balance Problems. With positions in the band needing to be filled Lee turned to his friends in another local band,(in theory), to bring the sound of SEA back to life. John Erickson on bass,Kenny Schick on drums, and Zack Ordway on lead guitar finished the instrumental line up. The band now needed a singer and turned to the power of Myspace to find their frontman . After a few months of tryouts they found the man for the job, Jerry Roush, was flown down from New York to join the band. SEA then released a three song demo and began to constantly tour, which caught the eye of Equal Vision Record
