SHAPES AND COLORS is the debut studio album by Phixel, released digitally on July 24, 2020. The album was first previewed under the title ‘The Death of Everything We Held Dear’, and then as ‘Calliope'. SHAPES AND COLORS had been set to release on June 5 as Calliope, but due to the festival she was going to premiere the LP at being pushed back and protests around the world, Phixel decided to push it back and work on it more. The album has features from 8485, Blackwinterwells, & Alice Gas, as well as production from Goonpack, Alice Gas, Ramunechips, and Taylor Morgan. The album functioned as a way for Madison to release emotions, so the project is intended to be a very dark listening experience with very little happy or upbeat tracks. On July 23, 2020, the album was premiered on Discord alongside several bonus tracks. However, a deluxe edition of SHAPES AND COLORS has yet to surface, and it's presumed that it will never release as she's moved past that era and is currently working on her second studio album, set for release in 2021.
