Sea Shanties is the debut studio album by the English rock band High Tide. Released in October 1969 by Liberty Records, the album was recorded at Olympic Studios in London between June and July 1969. It is notable for its incorporation of the violin as a prominent instrument in rock music. The album was produced by Denny Gerrard, who enlisted High Tide as the backing band for his solo album Sinister Morning in exchange for his production work. The cover artwork for Sea Shanties was created by Paul Whitehead.
