The Scouts are Cancelled audio CD features the recorded poems from the successful book Scouts Are Cancelled and the award-winning documentary of the same title. The Scouts are Cancelled book was published in 2002 in Toronto by Insomniac Press and was edited by Paul Vermeersch. The filmed documentary of the US and Eastern Canadian Book Tour of Scouts are Cancelled took place in 2002 - 2003, in Moncton, NB, New Glasgow NS, Halifax NS, Wolfville, NS, Boston Mass, USA and Toronto, Ontario. The poems were recorded at Emerson College in the fall of 2003 by John Scott and Karen Rodriguez and include poems never before recorded in any of John Stiles' Toronto performances including: Selby's Prayer and Em Moody Days. A short snippet of the opening salvo from John's Toronto performances which nuances his days working as a telemarketer at the Globe and Mail newspaper in Toronto opens the CD.
