Laozi is one of the aliases used by a young talented electronic musician Alexander Tskitishvili. He started composing just a couple of years ago but has 4 studio albums done already. Saturnian Tides is his latest release under the LaoZi project. And probably his most sophisticated one as of today. Considering the limited technical possibilities of his home studio this album has quite good sound production, but this is not what matters. The music from the album opens distant soundscapes and worlds. At the same time it helps the listener to look into his heart and soul and maybe discover these huge mysterious distant worlds or unmeasurable forces of love, passion and devotion in his own microworld, his soul. One can definitely feel the nature of human loneliness on planet Earth today. Maybe it was always like this, maybe it is just how we human beings are created. We are staring in the skies, we are dreaming about escaping present reality, but the mystery is that we are microscosmos ourselves. Music of Laozi shows us the reality , shows us a kind of theory of everything. There is no farscape. There is only live. And through his psychedelic music we can feel the depth of our nature, a great experience... experience of survival...
