Album
Sane EP is the second release from Central Nervous Sound System. It was released to free distribtuion on the internet on 13.4.2009. The bulk of the material was composed and recorded in the span of 4 days, making the creation and recording process a rather intense one. e2 recorded the vast majority of the audio material and i8580 handled the post-production which was mostly adding reverb and beat distortion. All of the material was recorded at Isolation Cube. The 4th track Sane, which was done by Individual 8580 took the longest time to complete. It is the first track with vocals that i8580 and the lyric-writing and rehearsals were the single most laborous element done in the EP. The EP was delayed by a few days due i8580 getting an ear infection which left him unable to work with the album's post production. With the exception of beat-distortion, reverb and a few effects all of the sounds were made with hardware. The equipment used were: Novation Drumstation v2, MFB Synth II, Casio VZ-10M, Roland D-50, MicroKORG, Alesis AirFX and Yamaha Magicstomp. Magicstomp was used to effect the vocoded vocals on Sane and the spoken word part on The Antidepressant Suite. The VST effects that were used were Classic Master Limiter, Classic Reverb, Fruity Fast Distortion, Fruity Delay, Ephonic Lo-Fi, mda Ringmod, tweakbench sideslip and tweakbench mashup. Sonicaly the album largely follows the line set by the Kensington Experiment EP. Athmospheric pads meet distorted x0x-styled breaks & d
