Hamacide (Yusuke Hama) returns with Sanchatlanta, his first solo release since 2019's Heart Rain EP. This new two-track EP emerged during the introspective months of 2020's lockdown, its title bridging his Tokyo present with his Atlanta roots, shaped along the way by Shanghai and New York. Sanchatlanta marks a return to solo work after some time away producing for other artists on his Twin Capital label. The EP pairs the synth-pop inspired Killing the Night featuring vocalist Yuima Enya with Mentalism, a slower-burning piece built around chopped vocal samples and lush orchestration.
