Released in the UK on the 28 April 2008, Sam Sparro is the self-titled, debut album by Sam Sparro (real name Sam Falson). The album's lead single, "Black & Gold" became a big hit peaking at #2 for three non-consecutive weeks in the UK Singles Chart. The album features 13 tracks and the hidden "Still Hungry" which starts 8 minutes in "Can't stop this". All songs were written and produced by Sparro and Jesse Rogg, except for "Waiting For Time" and "Hot Mess" which Sparro wrote together with Eg White; and "Pocket" and "Can't Stop This", which the artist wrote with Paul Epworth. This electronic album is a refreshing mixture of electrofunk, pop, soul and house. Sam's sultry voice at times resembles Prince, the male pop icon of the 80s.
