The Gordon Brothers combine drums from around the world with Native American Flute, Incan Pan Pipes, Spirit Rattle, Guitars, Keyboard textures, modern electronica grooves and Sounds of Nature (including Wolf, Eagle, Coyote and Dolphin). The liner notes explain that the brothers goal was to create a sonic tool that contemporary people could use to reconnect with ancient wisdom, and that now more than ever people need to feel connection and reverence for the earth and the environment. Since this album has been released in 1994 it has become very influential and there have been many albums by other artists in this ancient meets modern world music style which had it’s origins in this album.
