Album
"Friends, a dream runs up to me smiling. I call on you to see in the dark, to finish the song inside you." --John Brandi The lo-fi album that did so well on the charts on Soundclick in 2006, Rose Colored War, is back at Last Fm. In Memory of Terry McLain, a co-writer, a poet and dear friend. These were recorded on a 4-track tape player on Nancy Pontius's living room floor and Eric Royer then added on his parts with a digital recorder. Pontius plays guitar and sings and Eric Royer plays all the other instruments, including banjo, lapsteel guitar, guitar, percussion, fiddle, etc. He also does the mixing on this e-album and arranging. All music is by Pontius, except for My Totem, where Eric Royer wrote the music and also performed the song with lyrics by Pontius. He also wrote the music with Pontius for Medication Blues. There are always a lot of lyricists and poets involved. They are as follows: Rose Colored War lyrics by Eisy Murphy Cold Stream lyrics by Michael Loghry Medication Blues lyrics by Lizzie Woolfolk and Nancy Pontius Staying and Leaving lyrics by Terry McLain Backburner Girl lyrics by Pontius and Woolfolk All I Could Be lyrics by Keith Lankey The Hermit lyrics by Pontius Messy House/Messy Mind lyrics by Pontius My Totem lyrics by Pontius Thank you to all involved and thank you to Joy Harjo who gave me my first 8 track recorder that got me going on recording music...still having tech issues after all these years but it has been a great outlet, i a
