the album 'rollercoaster' is by a canadian band who were based in toronto. i believe they formed, more or less in late 1994 or early 1995. two clove members, zadia lenders ( guitar/vox/other) and linda davies ( bass/vox/ other ) were bandmates in maidenstone, a powerhouse all female indie heavy rock/punk/metal group. clove member chris stringer was pounding skins when he auditioned as a guitar player ( other/vox ) and eric clegg drove out from montreal to anchor the drummer spot as well as vocals/other. clove played to loyal and very enthusiastic crowds in t.o. and its surrounding areas. the music is melodic/heavy and the lyrics deep. the song 'having a blast' is about zadia's cat. two songs "news" amnd "In Your LIfe" from the album rollercoaster were used in the TV series La Femme Nikita. another song Bur was used in the HBO/LionsGate sc-fi film Xchange. zadia lenders the main songwriter now lives in Australia and has a band called Spearmint Fur which recently released an album titled Immune.
