RockaByeBaby is the debut mixtape by American recording artist Cassie, released on April 11, 2013 through Bad Boy Records. The mixtape is Cassie's first body of work to be released since her debut album Cassie (2006). After the release of Cassie's lead single "King of Hearts", from her second studio album, she announced to her fans that she would release a mixtape. The mixtape's concept is based on the 1991 film "New Jack City". "RockaByeBaby" is Cassie's first body of work to include a diverse roster of collaborators including musical guests Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, French Montana, Too $hort, Fabolous, and Ester Dean as well as writer James Fauntleroy. Recording and production sessions for the mixtape took place with producers Da Internz, Rob Holladay, Mike WiLL Made It, Trappin Ass Mac, Rob Holladay, B Joanz, Ncadastre, The Real Knotch, The Fr3shmen, THC, Sounwave, Terrace Martin, Young Chop, David D.A. Doman, FRESHM3N III, Soundz Dope. "RockaByeBaby" received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented its production and the mixtapes features, with some critics calling it "hip-hop's streetest spitters" and praised Cassie's vocal performances. Critics praised the mixtapes musical style calling it "dark" and "aggressive" with other critics saying the "new sound’s giving us chills". Commercially RockaByeBaby has so far been downloaded over 303,000 times through DatPiff, the website certified the mixtape platinum for downloads of 250,000
