Recorded September 2009-March 2010 at Glenn Brown Productions, Lansing, MI. Produced and engineered by Glenn Brown (Root Doctor, Greg Nagy, Spinal Tap) on the Muscle Shoals 1978 8098 Neve mixing board. "Reclamation", the disc features 11 original blistering blues tracks, written by Vincent Hayes, and arranged by The Vincent Hayes Project. The disc was recorded September 2009-March 2010 with Grammy winning producer/engineer Glenn Brown (Root Doctor, Spinal Tap, Greg Nagy, Kid Rock, Eminem) in Lansing, MI on the infamous Muscle Shoals Neve console. Mixed and mastered by Glenn Brown, and featuring guest piano by Steve "Doc" Yankee, the disc also introduces the keyboard/organ wizardry of new band mate Christian VanAntwerpen to the VHP line-up. This isn't the usual flavor of watered down "play it safe blues". It's not Chicago Blues nor Jump Blues nor Texas Blues nor Hillstomp Blues nor Soul Blues, nor your uncle Roy's "Copy Cat Fedora Blues". This is a disc of 11 original songs inspired by real life. It's the story of 5 cats from the Midwestern ghetto who have been knocked down, dragged around, chewed up and spit back out, and still keep going. There is no posturing here. There are no wah wah pedals or redundant shuffles. This is simply honest, from the gut modern blues to feed your hungry soul.
