October 28th, 2009 - Mark Mosher, Independent Electronic Music Artist, Announces the Release of His New Album REBOOT. Two years in the making, REBOOT is an album containing 7 richly layered electronica songs that blend contemporary synthesizer sounds with classical music motifs. The end result is dark electronica for those who love synth "ear candy" with a "dirty" industrial edge and are ready for a fresh journey into the electronic music wilderness. Prior to the release of the album, the first three tracks were released as singles. "Midnight" and "Stealth" went to #1 and "They Walk Among Us" went to #2 on the Soundclick.com electronic charts. While the songs on REBOOT stand alone as singles, the collection is an album in the true sense of the word. Leveraging his experience programming synthesizers, scoring commercials, and developing sound design cues for live theater, Mark fashioned REBOOT as a cohesive soundtrack. The songs share a common palette and when played in sequence offer an emotional backdrop for a dramatic story. This album is also the culmination of an experiment in modern music production. Prior to starting the album, Mark traded his trusted piles of traditional hardware synthesizers for a windows laptop, portable controllers, and a Wacom tablet. Armed with nothing but state-of-the-art virtual synthesizers and the award winning Ableton Live software - Mark composed, performed, produced, and mastered all the tracks on the album.
