"Randan Discotheque" was Randan Discotheque's first album. A collection of songs written between 2000 and 2005, it was recorded in a number of different bedrooms with one microphone and the wrong kind of computer software. It was self released at the end of 2005. "Hearty congratulations, you have made a very good record indeed" - Michael Marra The album sleeve shows a still image from Pier Paolo Passolini's film "The Gospel According to St Matthew" The song "Awake!" is based on a psalm from the world famous "Sankey's Songbook". "Dear San Lorenzo" describes a visit to the site in Rome where St Lawrence was burnt alive on a BBQ for refusing to reveal the whereabouts of the riches of the Roman Church.
