The Rain EP grew over the course of two years from a 4-track EP to a full length compilation album of every early track recorded. It's a distorted, reverb-drenched lo-fi album heavily influenced by the garage rock revival scene of the 00's. Due to lack of equipment, half of the songs on the album got recorded as acoustic versions of the originals, while the other half was partly recorded on a drum set with a broken snare and cracked ride cymbal, and partly electronic drums. Two songs ("Jacob" and "Fucking Vampires") were the earliest recorded, and was even produced and released under a different band name in late 2010. They were taken off the record for the second release of the Rain EP but were later put back on again.
