In 2025, the label Reanimated Miscarriage account on YouTube commented about the recovery process of the record as follows: "i guess ill tell the story to how this happened again… after years of being obsessed with the unhinged music of rick simms, i sought to find the mad genius himself. first i found drummer virgil roberts, who put me in touch with guitarist adrian thomas, both hadn’t spoken to rick in 20+ years but eluded to an unreleased album called “psychedelic madness” after 3 years of on and off searching, calling random numbers, writing emails and physical letters, in early 2025 through the help of many. i was finally able to make contact with the mysterious mr. simms, who was in the middle of cleaning his basement after a flood and just happened to come across the eight-track master reel, after hours of mind altering mixing sessions, a reel player bursting into flames, “psychedelic madness” transcended magnetic tape and entered human ears for the first in 45 years. its nothing short of a dream materialized to make this finally happen. i hope all of you get as much of a thrill out of listening to this nearly lost mindblowing masterwork of space rock as much as it was for myself to see it all come together. this is only the beginning" On his Instagram account, Matt Ibarra (@strm
