Pronto is simply a word that means, “without delay,” or, “promptly.” In music, it means “to play quickly.” We’ll leave it to you to decide what it means about LOST AND FOUND, and about a life of faith in the world today, after you hear the songs. (But here’s a hint about what we think: pay attention to the second song and the interludes between the songs.) The bicycle metaphor on the disc and envelope remind the two of us about being created with certain abilities and interests and trying our best to move forward—or at least to remain balanced. We’re not so much along for the ride in some passive sense; rather, we are fearfully and wonderfully made to ride—to participate in a journey, one that we have long described as lost and found. The bicycle is self-propelled, independent, easy to understand, affordable, and fun. I guess it makes sense that our first concert tour was on bicycles when we rode 8,000 miles around the USA. With a bicycle, one can get up and go pronto, just as we did then and continue to do today; but on a bicycle journey the rider is engaged in, connected to, and affected by the surroundings—moving, but not so fast as to miss most things along the way. It feels balanced. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
