Poetica is the debut and only studio album by iiO, an American electronic music duo consisting of producer Markus Moser and vocalist Nadia Ali. The album was released on June 27, 2006, although many of its tracks, including the hit single “Rapture,” had been released earlier as singles and became club hits in the early 2000s. Poetica combines lush electronic production with emotional, often romantic lyrics delivered through Nadia Ali’s distinctive vocals. The album is known for blending trance elements with pop songwriting, helping to define the vocal trance genre during the early 2000s. Though Poetica is iiO’s only studio album, it left a lasting impression on the electronic dance music scene. “Rapture” remains a club classic and has been remixed multiple times over the years. Nadia Ali later embarked on a successful solo career, becoming a prominent name in EDM and trance music.
