Album
After a short ode to dark Warsaw (Miasto nierzeczywiste - EP 2016), Schema presents, for the first time, a full-length album with music of the end. The pillars of Pierwsze zauroczenie (First Infatuation) are heavy sound, melancholy, moving melodies and poetic lyrics. The album swings between emotional extremes, the wall of overwhelming sound grows out of the lyrical silence. From their midst emerges a musical description of the first infatuation – an experience which is both subtle and shocking. Among the five long tracks on the album, three deserve special mention. The first of them is a piece written to a poignant poem by Agnieszka Osiecka, Nim wstanie dzień (Before Sunrise). The second, From Whence Doom Comes, is dedicated to the vocalist of My Dying Bride , Aaron Stainthorpe, acknowledging Schema's debt of inspiration owed to the British doom metal legends. The third is Katedralny pył (Cathedral dust) which links the album with the first moments of the band's existence: after over 15 years of development, the composition is the fruit of their constant infatuation with heavy music. released April 9, 2021 Schema is: Filip Doroszewski - vocals Jakub “Qba” Łukowski - drums Jakub Kamiński - bass Tomasz Izdebski - guitars Pierwsze zauroczenie was recorded, mixed and mastered between July 2017 and October 2020 in Warsaw, Poland.
